Are you sure the contractor you hired did the work they billed for and are you sure the adjuster and contractor found all the damages? by Philip Weber of Claim Animalz
The insurance company wants to pay as little as possible and the contractor really doesn't care what all is damaged they want to focus on what makes them the most money.
We believe this is not only immoral but financially damages the property owner.
Many times we have inspected after the work was done where contractors know the property owner will not get on the roof so they don;t replace vents or flashing yet they bill the insurance company for these items. THIS IS FRAUD!
We have found damages that neither the adjuster nor the contractor either noticed or were happy to overlook.
We have met contractor that won't tell customers about damages they found because they take too much time and there is no money in it. THAT SUCKS FOR THE PROPERTY OWNER. Great for the insurance company, great for the contractor. Do only the most profitable work while your left holding a bag and by the time you find out the damages could be much greater and instead of insurance money paying... you get to. Well isn't that nice for them!
We provide the service that determines if anything was missed. We provide the service to determine if the contractor did everything they were supposed to do.
Remember... When contractors don't understand what caused something to be damaged, their guessing and they are powerless and adjusters dismiss them. When contractors are only looking after themselves they find what they want and ignore what they don't want to deal with. This means damages are left to fester and get worse. This could mean you insurance company could cancel your policy in the future because they say your not maintaining your property to their standards. One this is for sure, your not getting the funds you should get for the damages you have and your loosing money and property value.
